Setting Your Username on Telegram

Telegram Desktop

  1. Click on the menu icon in the top-left corner.
  2. Open the Settings page.
  3. Select Edit Profile – you’ll see that your username is set to ‘None’ by default.
  4. Enter your desired username in the text input box.
    • Usernames must be at least five characters and can contain letters, numbers, and underscores.

Telegram App (Mobile)

  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap on your account – you’ll notice that your username is set to ‘None’ by default.
  3. Enter your desired username in the text input box.
